TEMPLE ANAM CARA

TEMPLE ANAM CARA
Black Rock City, Nevada

Temple Anam Cara is a monumental, multi-level pyramid temple created for Burning Man. Our team at Vast Studio collaborated across creative direction, surface design, and on-site execution—delivering hand-painted murals on every face of the structure. The visual language we developed blends celestial deities, Mesoamerican geometry, and atmospheric gradients, transforming the architecture into a beacon in the desert.

Designed as an immersive, climbable experience, the installation invited participants to ascend exterior ramps and gather within a mural-lined sanctuary. Working alongside the build partners, we advanced color studies, produced shop mockups, and led finishing workflows tailored for playa conditions—heat, wind, dust, and rapid schedules.

Temple Anam Cara shows how large-scale event installations can drive audience flow, dwell time, and social reach. Vast Studio managed paint systems, team staffing, QA/QC finishing, and remote logistics—demonstrating our end-to-end capability for festivals, cultural events, and branded environments.
